Our Experience
The members of our team have over 100 years of combined experience working in the fields of public health, emergency response, health care, education, law, software development, graphic design, data analysis and marketing. We are multi-disciplinary individuals; most of us have extensive experience in several of the aforementioned fields.
Together, our field experience spans dozens of countries on every continent (well, except Antarctica). Members of our team live in the United States, Switzerland and Brazil. We worked during the past year in Brazil, Haiti, Denmark, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, South Africa, China, Vietnam and the United States. Our expansive perspective allows us to bring new issues into focus rapidly, while we seek cross-disciplinary solutions to challenging problems.
Our clients’ privacy is important to us, which is why all of our client work is done confidentially. We believe that it is the client’s right to choose when and where to advertise their products. A guarantee of privacy also leads to more robust and lasting relationships. In general, we spend the bulk of our time working on health care, public health and environmental conservation issues. Recent projects include the development of a public health-based marketing research knowledge management system for a medical device manufacturer, the design and prototyping of software for the analysis of medical time-series data and an in-depth analysis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in developing countries.

Design as a Core Competency
The cross-cutting factor of all of our work is a strong sense of design, to which we hold ourselves to a high standard. We understand that both too much of a design focus and not enough of a design focus leads to lesser-quality output. Our design team constantly navigates this balance and applies exacting standards to achieve clarity and improve retention of information.
Previous work includes:

This work was done in collaboration with the American Red Cross Society, the Centers for Disease Control, the US Public Health Service, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Harvard University, and Johns Hopkins University.
- Community reconstruction and rehabilitation work in Khao Lak, Thailand following the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.
